We presume you've stumbled on us without really meaning to, but welcome in any case, to the Southburgh Institute of Arkayne Research. Through our long and patient study of the strange, the other, the things from beyond (what we call 'The Arkayne'), we aim to understand, to collect, examine, catalogue and categorise, to try and make sense of that otherness, what some also call the 'supernatural', or the 'alien', or simply the 'unexplained' and in doing so, keep the public alert to the ever-present threat. This is not a popular undertaking with any government and we are not a publicly funded body, and so we have made the difficult decision to sell some of our specimens, always of interest to the curious, to raise much-needed funds.
So, welcome to our 'web presence', please enjoy your stay, learn of our ongoing danger, read a
message from The Institute's director, and visit our gift shop on the way out. Above all, remember:
Watch the skies!
Watch the seas!
Watch the ground beneath your feet!
This is not the kind of thing, after all, that you want to tread on.
